Well, it is finally here... my first poetry collection. [butterfly blue coat] has been a three year project, that incorporated much of my Master of Professional Writing thesis (not to mention the countless hours sipping coffee at local cafes). I am extremely proud of this achievement and to finally have my book out I hope these poems help others on their journey of recovery, or to accompany them through pain of loss or sadness.
Inside there are over 80 carefully crafted poems that riff loss, self-destruction, and sin, many of which romanticise sadness and depression. [queens] and [floralista] have appeared in publications and journals, and [split] was the runner up poem in the 2022 UOA poetry competition.
